Louis Hiemstra

Medical doctor, lecturing professor, multifaceted artist, keen art teacher as well as good husband, father, grandfather and friend. After a successful and satisfying medical career, while all the time nursing his ever present urge to paint, Louis has moved to Stilbaai, a lovely coastal town in the Western Cape, South Africa.

Although he has retired from the medical profession, he has definitely not retired from painting and exhibiting his work. He is now devoting his time and energy to his first love, the love of painting. Louis welcomes everyone to visit his studio/gallery to peruse his work.

Alternatively, those who are unable to visit his studio can visit his online gallery and experience the endless pleasure of viewing his paintings. If you love it, purchase it straightaway in the online shop and display it where you can enjoy it every day.

Who - What - Where

There is More...

Arrange with Louis to present tutoring at a venue elsewhere during a painting weekend breakaway for an art group such as an art society. Or perhaps a one day refresher workshop, or as a holiday activity for kids. He has honed his painting skills over a period of 25 years under the tutelage of some twenty different prominent painters.
